Stormy Sorrow

Sorry wakes you up each day
As sure as the sun does rise
As pain and heart ache fill your cup
as you hear the devil lies
As he pulls your limbs from east to west
you forget what is really true
deep down you know it's just a test
but it still makes you feel blue
Anguish takes you through your day
But you try to hide the pain
The sun may shine its brightest rays
But all you see is rain
Clouds that form
Interrupt the light
As it blocks the sun
And turns day to night
The smell of the rain
From the twirling wind
Reminds you of pain
From deep within.
Dead leaves take flight
From the rapid breeze
Wind whistles with force
As it bends the trees
Light flashes the sky
Without making a sound
And the thunder rolls
As it touches the ground
you look to the sky for the rain to fall
And then you see no clouds at all
Clear skies sunshine and you still feel blue
